Washington vs OCS: Warriors Punch Ticket to Sixth Straight State Championship

YUKON — Behind a relentless rushing attack and a commanding performance up front, Washington powered past Oklahoma Christian School 41–20 in a Class 2A-I semifinal Friday night at Miller Stadium to advance to its sixth consecutive state championship game.

Washington seized early control, leaning on its offensive line to open lanes for quarterbacks Creed Barrett and Javen Hall. Barrett struck first on a keeper, then Hall muscled in twice — one late in the first quarter and another at the goal line — as the Warriors built a 20–0 lead before OCS finally answered. Creighton Allen broke loose for a Saints touchdown and a two-point conversion to trim the margin to 20–8 at half.

The Warriors kept their foot down after the break. Hall punched in his third score of the night to make it 26–8, but Allen responded with a strike to James Huffmyer in the end zone. Washington’s offense answered again, with Barrett slipping in for his second rushing touchdown to extend the lead. OCS connected on another Allen-to-Huffmyer deep shot to stay within reach at 34–20, but Washington’s defense came up with a fourth-down stop that effectively ended the Saints’ chances.

Moments later, Josiah Dickerson delivered the knockout blow — slicing through the left side and sprinting 26 yards to the house to seal a 41–20 victory and ignite the Warrior sideline.
