JONES — The Washington Lady Warriors finished off a second straight undefeated district slate Tuesday, rolling past Jones 12–2 in six innings to cap a 10–0 run through league play in their final district game of the season.
Washington’s offense ran through Julie Hoehner, who drove in four on two hits. Hoehner opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first, crushed a two-run homer to center in the fifth, and added a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Hitting behind her, Kinzlee Pogue matched the production with four RBIs, highlighted by a bases-clearing double in the third that stretched the margin.
In the circle, Payton Blackburn earned the win with 4.0 steady innings (6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 5 K), and Ellie Musgrove closed with 2.0 spotless frames (0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K).
Washington stacked pressure all night with 11 hits and 7 walks. Presley Lucas, Ava Salcedo, Pogue, and Hoehner logged two hits apiece. Hoehner (HR) and Lexie Salcedo (RBI double) supplied the extra-base pop, and Kelby Beller joined Ava Salcedo with two free passes each. The Lady Warriors also turned a double play defensively.
