TUTTLE — The Tuttle Lady Tigers made Senior Night one to remember, knocking off Harrah 6–3 on Monday evening to finish a sweep of the 4A-1 district series.
The seniors wasted no time putting their stamp on the game. Lilly Ferrell tripled to center field in the bottom of the first, opening the scoring before Avery Laird followed with a single down the right-field line to plate another run. That early burst gave the Lady Tigers a lead they would never relinquish.
Laird carried the load on both sides. In the circle, she went 6.2 innings, allowing just three hits and three runs (one earned) while striking out six and walking one. At the plate, she delivered a game-high three RBIs and went 2-for-3 to anchor the middle of the lineup.
Ferrell matched her with two hits, including the game’s first big swing, while Chesnee Monroe also turned in a two-hit performance for Tuttle.
Harrah countered with starter Elliott Cresswell, who worked all six innings for the Lady Panthers but was tagged for nine hits and six earned runs. She walked three and struck out none. Cresswell, Raelee Robinson, and Audrey Norton collected one hit apiece for Harrah, while Cresswell and Bailey Malone drove in runs. The Panthers flashed some defense as well, turning a double play to stall a Tuttle rally.
Ava Kanatzar entered in relief to record the final out, securing the win and the sweep.
