Tuttle Tournament Recap: Walk-Offs, Rallies, and a Rivalry Finish

TUTTLE — Saturday at the Tuttle Tournament delivered a full slate of highlights, beginning with a dramatic walk-off, followed by a lopsided run-rule, and ending with a rivalry battle that went down to the final innings.

Game 1 — Tuttle 5, Perry 3

The Lady Tigers opened the day in thrilling fashion, edging Perry 5–3 with a walk-off double in the bottom of the fourth inning under the 75-minute time limit.

Perry capitalized on a groundout by Brooklenn Moses and a Tuttle error to plate two runs in the top of the first. Tuttle answered quickly with an Audrey Watson sacrifice fly and an RBI single from Avery Laird to tie the score.

The Lady Maroons regained the lead in the third on a Joely Kukuk RBI single, but the Lady Tigers rallied in their last at-bat. Grace Mahan’s fielder’s choice tied the game, and Swain followed with a two-run double to left that ended it.

Game 2 — Blanchard 13, Tahlequah 1

Blanchard’s bats exploded in the second matchup of the day, rolling to a 13–1 win in just three innings.

The Lady Lions put up five in the first inning, sparked by a two-run single from Finley Lockwood, a two-run knock by Adi Ford, and a sacrifice bunt from Allie Singleton. They added two more in the second before breaking it open with six runs in the third, highlighted by a two-run single from Singleton, an RBI double by Emma Shutrump, a single by Keira Scott, and Lockwood’s second two-run hit of the game.

Blanchard finished with 14 hits overall, while pitcher Ali Cook held Tahlequah to three hits and one run over three innings.

Game 3 — Blanchard 4, Tuttle 1 (Tri-City Showdown)

The finale brought the much-anticipated Tri-City Showdown between Tuttle and Blanchard, where the Lady Lions struck late to pull out a 4–1 victory.

Blanchard scored first in the sixth on a sacrifice fly, but Watson’s solo home run to left field tied it 1–1 in the bottom half. The Lady Lions answered in the seventh, plating three runs. Emma Shutrump drove in the go-ahead run with a groundout before Blakely Dauer ripped a two-run triple to extend the lead.

Rylee Black went the distance for Blanchard, holding Tuttle to four hits while striking out six. Watson finished 2-for-3 with the Lady Tigers’ lone RBI.
